As exciting as Summer food is in Tuscany, September is one of those moments of our “Culinary Year” where a lot happens and menus shift dramatically. Farms are starting to harvest grapes and lot of attention is paid to the Olive Orchards as November’s harvest is fastly approaching… the whole vegetable garden gets a necessary overhaul while the ground is still soft.
Kids go back to school, fireplaces start to get lit again, and hunters finally get to crank some fireworks, after a summer spent shining their barrels. It is not Boar season quite yet, but we will celebrate with some fierce hunter’s dishes and shift our kitchen into fall-gear. Join us for a serious menu that is designed to transport you straight to the heart of our estate in Fiesole, it’s time to celebrate!
As it happens (I thought extreme bureaucracy was an Italian thing) we are still waiting for our liquor license, so this event too will be a BYOB. This menu calls for young wine: light, fruity, unpretentions but honest. But if you love a deeper and more complex flavor… sure, bring your Brunello di Montalcino
A gluten free pasta option will be offered, this is not a vegetarian dinner and no substitutions are possible.
As always, given the nature of our events and the small size of our room, tickets are transferrable but not refundable. Please double check your calendar before pulling the trigger!
Our shop is not a restaurant but rather a communal dining room. We do not fire our orders based on your arrival time, we do not use heating lamps and we get sad when our food gets cold because a guest is late. Pretend you are coming to dinner at grandma… mine used to smack me if I was late for Sunday supper. We won’t get physical, we will just start without you around 7.15
