Fattoria I Bosconi, some history…

On the fall of 1918, my great great grand-father Chimici fell in love with a small valley in Fiesole, just about three miles north-east of Florence. The land was covered with olive trees and a generous vineyard stood in the heart of the property. These fields have been in my family ever since, but so many things happened in the last century… like industrial farming…

In the winter of 1985 a two weeks snow storm damage the vineyard very seriously…we had some grapes for the following two years, then all the plants died.As of now my family produces enough olive oil to maintain what’s left of the old glorious “Fattoria I Bosconi”… This project is a labour of love!

I will teach my wife Deb, every little thing I know about being Tuscan; from cooking to planting your own herbs, from convincing your child to help you in the kitchen…to eventually, finally, after six years of marriage…to HAVE MY WIFE COOK ME ONE MEAL!

A Hundred years have passed, and we are so looking forward to revive this corner of paradise…
